O-Ring Jigs
Yeti Jigs, Polar Camel Jigs, 4in1 Jig, Tumbler Jigs
Think of these jigs as a sort of 'lid' for the tumblers. Place the 'lid' on the tumbler and just twist a tiny bit while applying some pressure. That's all!
Some styles/brands of tumblers vary in size more than others. If it's a bit too tight/loose, try swapping out the o-ring from the jig with one you have laying around. Sometimes that's all you need!
Threaded Jigs
Stan/Dupe, HydroJug, Brumate Era, Yeti 1 Gallon Jug
Place the jig onto the tumbler, twist, and secure, just like a threaded lid! I find it helpful to turn it counterclockwise until you feel it "click" down into the threads, then reverse direction.
Some styles/brands have slightly different threads. If it seems to be catching and tightening but it pops off, try to find the sweet spot right before tightening too much. If the size is too different, you may need a custom jig or one of my other laser tools.
Pet Bowls
18oz, 32oz, 64oz Pet Bowl Jigs
Pet bowls are huge. The jigs are huge. Place the bowl on the jig until it's resting on the foam gasket. Carefully apply pressure while twisting either the bowl or the jig - or both . I've found it difficult to load the large bowls by myself sometimes, so get a buddy if you don't have a good way to get enough leverage!
The foam used is 3/8" Backer Rod from any hardware store if it needs to be replaced (you may need glue meant specifically for plastic for it to hold well).
Connecting Jigs to Chuck Rotary
Be sure the baseplate of the jig is flush with your rotary jaws. I find it helpful to start with one of the three jaws on the bottom, and the other two diagonally going upward, like a Y. Hold the jig with one hand and apply upward pressure so the jig is pushing against the bottom jaw. At the same time, apply horizontal pressure, pushing the jig towards your rotary. Then, carefully tighten/loosen the jaws (depending on your rotary setup) to apply pressure without moving the jig.
